Kentucky Medicaid

No-cost or low-cost health coverage from UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.

All Kentuckians deserve affordable health care, including you. We offer many plans to help Kentuckians get healthy — and stay healthy. We cover adults, people with disabilities, pregnant women and children with our Kentucky Medicaid plan. We offer a Dual Special Needs Plan for those who qualify for both Kentucky Medicaid and Medicare.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Kentucky

Our plan offers a range of physical and behavioral health benefits. View the benefits below to see all that it offers. It's for people who meet income requirements and are eligible for Kentucky Medicaid. We serve pregnant women, children and young adults to age 21, families and adults.

Dual Special Needs plans

Dual Special Needs plans (also called Dual Health plans or D-SNPs for short) are for people who have both Medicaid and Medicare. Dual plans cover most doctor visits, hospital stays and prescription drugs. They offer many extra benefits beyond those you get with either Original Medicare or Medicaid.

Eligibility:

Kentucky’s managed care Medicaid program provides comprehensive medical benefits to adults, families, people with disabilities, children and pregnant women who meet income requirements.

Anyone between ages 19 to 64 who meets income standards, is eligible. There are no pre-existing condition restrictions.

Applying for Medicaid is easy and can be done in-person, by phone, or online.

  • Required care is covered 100% with no copay, including testing and diagnosis, behavioral therapy and medication.
