UnitedHealthcare and the Texans team up to provide meals to Houston families
UnitedHealthcare donated to Kids’ Meals Inc., which funded turkeys and side dishes.
According to America’s Health Rankings®1, nearly 14% of Texas households are unable to provide adequate food for one or more household members, ranking the state 45th nationally for food insecurity.
To provide nourishing food to families in need, the Houston Texans joined UnitedHealthcare to provide Thanksgiving meal essentials to 300 local families on November 14.
UnitedHealthcare donated to Kids’ Meals Inc., which funded turkeys and side dishes. UnitedHealthcare volunteers distributed the meals at a drive-thru event at the Knights of Columbus in Houston.
This initiative is one part of UnitedHealthcare’s dedication to redefining health care for uninsured, underserved and vulnerable minority populations.
