Please be advised that eligibility determination for CHIP applications and renewals, including all communications related to eligibility and application/renewal processing, is now being handled by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS).
All paper CHIP applications, renewals, and verification documents should be submitted to DHS. More information can be found here.
Starting September 1, 2022, UnitedHealthcare will no longer be a Medical Assistance plan option in the Southwest and Lehigh/Capital areas of Pennsylvania.
United Healthcare will continue to be an available plan if you live in Southeastern Pennsylvania (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia counties). For more information about the changes, please reference the HealthChoices Toolkit or contact Member Services at 1-800-414-9025.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan offers coverage to beneficiaries of Pennsylvania's Medical Assistance (Medicaid) program.
We can help you relax about your health care. You don't need to worry when you have UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. All of your health care needs are met. With UnitedHealthcare, you can count on getting good health care, plus the respect you deserve. You'll have your own personal doctor who really knows you. No more sitting around emergency rooms waiting for basic health care.
Plus, your doctor is there for you and your family around the clock. We check doctors and hospitals in our network often to make sure you're getting the care you deserve.
Medical Assistance recipients can call Pennsylvania Enrollment Services toll free at 1-800-440-3989 (TTY 1-800-618-4225) We can help you between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in finding other options. This will NOT affect any of our CHIP or Medicare members.

Adams, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Somerset, Washington, Westmoreland, and York.

Appointment Standards
- Your PCP should see you within 10 business days of when you call for a routine appointment.
- If you have an urgent medical condition, your provider should see you within 24 hours of when you call for an appointment.
- If you have an emergency, the provider must see you immediately or refer you to an emergency room.
